Long-term Service

Partners usually serve long term overseas for a minimum of 2 or 3 years, either as supported workers or as tentmakers who are fully or partially supported.

We welcome basically anyone with skills or profession – who can be deployed to serve in the 10/40 Window countries. Example of such skills are nurses, secretaries, social workers, doctors, dentists, IT consultants, accountants, agriculturalists, engineers, business people, technicians, those with TESOL training, those with theological training, youth workers, etc. On top of that, they should have a clear calling from God in their lives and a strong commitment to the Christian faith to be ‘salt’ and ‘light’ wherever they may be.

Short-term Service (On Track)

There are also opportunities for those who wish to serve short term in the field for a period of 3 to 12 months, under a programme called On-Track. This programme is ideal for those who wish to explore full-time missions in the longer term or simply just to experience or get a feel of what it is like to be doing missions, as well as those who are doing medical electives.

  5. Looking into funding requirements.

Interserve Malaysia will provide member care (prayer, support, encouragement, and pastoral care), disseminate prayer requests, arrange for home assignment, and liaise with local churches to update on the Partners’ work on the field.
